His father’s suggestion to join Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company at the time, propelled him forward, leading to a series of interviews and ultimately a position at Pfizer.
Reflecting on his interests, Dr. Lamba recounted his passion for music, particularly inspired by the legendary singer Jagjit Singh. Despite considering a music career, he ultimately chose to continue in the pharmaceutical industry, where he found fulfillment in both his professional and personal pursuits.
Discussing innovations in the pharmaceutical sector, Dr. Lamba highlighted advancements in technology, automation, and quality control throughout his career. From implementing fully automated manufacturing processes to incorporating robotics and artificial intelligence, he emphasized the importance of blending human expertise with technological advancements to ensure high-quality patient care.
Looking ahead, Dr. Lamba envisioned a future in healthcare centered on personalized medicine, gene therapy, and AI-driven drug discovery. He emphasized the role of technology in improving accessibility to healthcare services, particularly in remote areas, and fostering proactive disease management through data analytics and telemedicine.
