To provide a procedure for cleaning of Sampling area and booth.
2.0 SCOPE :
Applicable to Sampling area and booth.

4.0 DEFINITION(S) :
Not Applicable.
5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Follow Type-I cleaning procedure after sampling or during change over from API to API or after the validity date.
5.2 Follow Type-II cleaning procedure everyday at the start of the day.
5.3 TYPE – I cleaning:
5.3.1 CLEANING AIDS:
5.3.1.1 Glass cleaning apparatus: It is used for cleaning the glasses.
5.3.1.2 Stainless Steel (SS) mopping trolley.
5.3.1.3 Duster Cloth.
5.3.1.4 Dettol.
5.3.1.5 Aluminum Stick Mop.
5.3.1.6 Vacuum cleaner.
5.3.2 Cleaning of Sampling booth:
5.3.2.1 Ensure that the Blower is ‘OFF’ during cleaning activity.
5.3.2.2 Clean the pre-filter protective covers (grills) using dry followed by wet & again with dry duster.
5.3.2.3 Clean HEPA filter protective covers (grills) using dry followed by wet & again with dry duster.
5.3.2.4 Clean the tube light fixtures and manometer using dry duster.
5.3.2.5 Clean the balance, balance table, cables of the balances using wet duster followed by dry duster.
5.3.2.6 Clean the switchboards using clean dry duster.
5.3.2.7 Clean the side panels of sampling booth from inside and outside proceeding from top to bottom using wet duster followed by dry duster.
 
5.3.3 Cleaning of Sampling area:
5.3.3.1 Clean the walls using the wet mop.
5.3.3.2 Clean the doors, door closures, handles and all the hinges of the door using dry followed by wet & again with dry duster.
5.3.3.3 Clean the door and window glasses using cleaning solution & glass cleaning apparatus.
5.3.3.4 Clean the AHU grilles using a suitable brush of vacuum cleaner or lint free cloth.
5.3.3.5 Clean the document stand and waste bin using clean dry duster.
5.3.3.6 Clean the entire floor using vacuum cleaner and then sanitise using 2.5% disinfectant solution / Dettol using Aluminium stick mop.
5.4 TYPE – II cleaning :
5.4.1 Clean the wall, doors, door closures, handles and all the hinges of the door using dry followed by wet & again with dry duster.
5.4.2 Clean the door and window glasses using cleaning solution & glass cleaning apparatus.
5.4.3 Clean the side panels of sampling booth from inside and outside proceeding from top to bottom using wet duster followed by dry duster.
5.4.5 Clean the entire floor using vacuum cleaner and then sanitise using 2.5% disinfectant solution / Dettol using Aluminium stick mop.
5.5 Record the activity in ‘Cleaning Log For Sampling Area And Booth’.
5.6 Update the status board as ‘CLEANED’.
